Journalist Joe Dworetzky wrote this article about my history as a caricature artist leading up to the 2020 revolution of Virtual Caricatures. During the pandemic when everyone worked from home, I drew thousands of people from countries all over the world virtually. In the history of the planet this may have been the first time that people ranging from Singapore, India, NYC and the Bay Area could be drawn by one artist in one day.
So far 2022 has been a busy few months in the studios at Cartoon.guru! Among our projects was a large group of drawings to be used in a training presentation for a corporate client, dozens of people drawn up as superhero’s for an award presentation to be printed up for the walls of another client, and thousands of people drawn virtually over Zoom or Meet. In addition to our corporate team caricature posters, we’ve drawn families, pets, both virtually and from photos sent to us over email. Check out some of the work below!
Corporate team caricature posters were drawn for companies such as Google, Meta, Quantcast, and 6sense
You can email [email protected] with photos or ideas of anything you would like drawn. Schedule a free zoom call to discuss any ideas you might have for artwork to liven up your events, offices, or presentations.
Corporate Team Caricature Drawing: Hawaii Beach Edition
Retreat for your whole office to Hawaii this year? A custom corporate team drawing brings the vacation memory home. In this example, a six-person team gets turned into cartoon versions of themselves, surfboard, camera, and all, lounging on a beach under a rainbow. It’s the kind of corporate team caricature drawing that works for office walls, remote-team gifts, or a fun group photo to capture the moment.
A family group sketch as a gift for an anniversary.
The same corporate team drawing style works beautifully for family milestones too. This eight-person family caricature, dog included, was commissioned as an anniversary gift, giving every relative their own cartoon likeness to keep long after the celebration ends.
Almost 300 people drawn for the Fuschia team poster!
A corporate team drawings scales further than you’d think. For one client, we illustrated nearly 300 individual team members for a single company-wide poster, each face custom-drawn so no two people look alike, even at that size. Plus, everyone got their own individual drawing.
Jon Casey and Ryan Rhoads draw a global team at Netflix
The 2020 working from home revolution was not lost on our digital caricature team! With no limits on when and where we can draw, we have brought together artists from all around the world to draw for groups large and small. With our drawing tablets and the ability to screen share, you can watch as we capture your likeness in 8 minutes or less. Global teams can be brought together with corporate team caricature drawings.
Our core team of artists work from California, Florida, Hawaii, the Netherlands, New York City, Nevada, Seattle, and more. We come together virtually to create lasting memories and drawings to share and keep forever! We have drawn for groups as small as 5 or 6 people, up to 1,000 Google employees during one 5 day marathon coming up in December.
So far we have drawn for people in Japan, Sydney, India, Singapore, London, Russia, China, and more. Sometimes in one day! We can create posters of teams from around the world, brought together by our artwork. Contact us to plan a memorable and fun team building activity that will have everyone smiling and leaving with an original handmade artwork with their likeness.
Zoom Caricatures by Cartoon.guru : Last week, I had the pleasure of working with the great folks at @Atlassian and draw them as their favorite Star Wars characters. We had folks join from East and West Coast USA, Amsterdam , Spain, Turkey, India, France and more! We had a team of five artists draw for 5 sessions of 3 hours each. The Fourth was strong with the Atlassians!
I’m grateful that zoom was able to connect me with so many people across the world to bring their imagination to life!
I’d love to work with you and your company! Message me for details and make your next Zoom call one your employees wont want to miss!
My four legged family. Biscuit, Boom, Finn and Juno!
I am a dog lover with four four legged family members in my own home. As a caricaturist, I sometimes get hired to draw pets as well. I can draw your pet of any breed or species! I’ve even drawn pet chickens and horses. Just send your pets photo to [email protected] !

Recently Netflix’s Facilities team had Jon Casey come in to the offices to draw. In 3-4 hours a group of 30 people were drawn, 17 of which were later collaged together for a team poster.
Is your team or company planning a large event? Maybe one where you want a caricature artist, but hundreds of people will be attending? If so check out this cool job that we did for Netflix.
We brought in a team of 10 digital artists. 5 artists set up stations and 5 artists were roaming the area. Our goal was 3 minute drawings so we restricted the artwork to black and white to speed up the process. In two hours almost 280 people were drawn by our team! Check out some photos from the event below, or view the gallery of images here:
We at Cartoon.guru specialize in Digital Caricature, but all of our artists draw “the old fashioned way” too! Jon Casey got his start at a theme park in Virginia (King’s Dominion for you East Coasters) at age 15, which was in 1996! At the time of this post he has 22 years experience drawing people on paper in places like Sea World San Diego, Busch Gardens, and even in South Korea.
Traditional Caricature offers a few advantages to Digital. We can work almost anywhere, with no power outlet required. It’s a faster process (simple sketches in as fast as 3 minutes, and the examples seen here in less than 10 minutes) and we can put a small group of people on a single page.
For Summer parties or outdoor events this is the way to go! Some clients such as the Electrical Worker’s Union IBEW 595 have had us draw Traditional Caricature for almost a decade in the Bay Area! We rely on a group of a dozen amazing Bay Area Caricature Artist’s, so we can bring as many artists as you need to your large Corporate or Private Event!

On August 28th, my team and I traveled to Las Vegas for another year at VM World, this time with a new client. App Sense and Shavlik joined forces and shared a space, with the Cartoon.guru team front and center. Kiko, Salah and myself draw over 430 drawings over the 4 day event, making it a record for us!
The response from the crowd was amazing, with lines of people waiting for a drawing from the minute the doors opened until we shut down. By having the three artists on site, we could keep the booth staffed at all times. The booth number for our sponsors was printed at the bottom of each sketch along with their logo, so that over the second and third days the attendees knew where to go to get a drawing.
