“I had the pleasure of meeting Jon at a YEE not to long ago! Needless to say my friend really wanted one and wanted me to do it as well. It has been probably pretty close to about 20 years since the last time I had one done of me. The reason for my reservations with caricature art is that back then, I was at my friend’s 9th birthday party and the artist did mine. I was haunted by the results I got back then and swore of caricature art from that point on. (Pretty much it looked like a person with a big head, tiny body, giant afro hair and tiny eyes.) Needless to say the kids at the party teased my picture and I was forever scarred.
Anywho flash forward to recent years, at the yelp event we stood in line and by the end of the night he got to us. He was extremely friendly and made me feel pretty comfortable, Im not used to posing for a portrait. He was very high tech, in then sense he was using a stylus on a digital pad and running it through is MAC and he work was being displayed on a LCD monitor and printed out a small copy for you when he was done! He worked hard and straight through the entire event, and even stayed about a half hour later! Definitely a really cool guy, and maybe if I can bring him in for a Office holiday party. To bad I can’t get two of him!”
- Chris T.AMAZING!!! Jon and his team of artists were outstanding. It’s pretty hard to top the breathtaking views and 5 Star service at the Top of the Mark, at the Mark Hopkins in San Francisco, but Jon did. We have hosted our reception there several times with out any type of “entertainment” as the venue really doesn’t need any help, but having Jon and his team with made it the most memorable yet! Thank you Jon for all you did and going the extra mile for our members!
- Jennifer F.“I’m impressed. In 3-5 minutes, Casey drew me and my girlfriend while we were at a friend’s wedding. He made us all look really cute, and some of us looked even better in caricature than in real life! That’s boss material right there.”
- Justin F.“A picture is worth a million words…
My company threw a xmas party over at the art museum in SJ. It was a nice party with drinks, photo booth, food and dj etc etc etc. As one would expect of having a party in a museum all the exhibits were open for our enjoyment though we were not allowed to drink or eat outside the designated areas for specific reasons.. namely me.
As luck would have it, on the third floor there was this gentleman sitting on his chair in front of an easel like contraption with people lined up to sit in front of him. Turned out that the guy.. Jon Casey was doing caricatures of all who were inclined to wait for his imaginative eye and steady hand. My escort, butterfly wing equipped suggested that we wait for Jon’s expertise. And I’m glad that we did and more importantly considering we were at the end of a relatively long line which were also fast approaching his scheduled time.
Lady luck would shine on us some more since the company saw it fit to extend his hours for our benefit. And since he got paid more it was a win-win situation all the way around. And in the end my lady for the evening and I walked away with flattering renditions of ourselves. While I was helping him pack up the big screen that he used to demo his skill he turned out to be not only a great artist but a great artist with a warm personality to boot.
When you see him be sure to have him look you up and down and let him run wild with it.
;D”
“I had the pleasure of sitting for one of John Casey’s boys. Awesome job! It was a lot of fun!
I was trying to look at what he was doing and he caught me. So his first impression was that- hence my one eye looking to the left where the tv screen was of my caricature. Beware of the artist’s first impression as you sit down. That’s what he will draw :)
They take at least 10 minutes for each person. They can draw you together or separately. They will print your picture and you can take a copy with you when you go home. For a very nominal fee like less than $5 you can go to their website and buy an electronic version of your caricature that you can download.
Beware it is the longest line in any event. But it’s the most fun! Each artist has his own style. One will sketch you in a regular way and one will do a pretty big close up. I prefer the regular look myself.”
- Janet O.“I do not think I have ever met an artist/business person that has maintained the level of quality and professionalism as Jon Casey. I have worked with Jon at 2 separate events and was immediately impressed by his speed and overall product quality. Jon also continues to research the newest trends in technology in an effort to make his product the best in the country.
Do NOT hesitate to book this guy! He will draw in any environment. I even heard that he once drew at a Little Person Burlesque Convention in Cincy and tore the roof down w/his amazing work! He’s so rad.!”
- Nolan H.“My husband and I wanted to do something different for entertainment at our wedding reception. As soon as we saw Jon’s artwork, we knew we had to have him at our wedding. Our guests were thoroughly entertained and my husband and I were impressed at how quickly he was able to draw our guests! All the drawings were amazing – We decided to print out all of our guests drawings and hang them on our wall as artwork for our house!
Thank you Jon for making our wedding reception so memorable!
I would highly recommend Jon Casey for weddings and any other event! Your guests will not be disappointed!”
- Juli S.“This guy is legit! Not sure if you’ve noticed, but there are some seriously sketchy caricature folks out there. You know the ones… you happen to walk by the Ferry Building, and see a bewildered tourist posing for a sketch, and the person looks nothing like their picture. And typically, the caricature is NOT flattering.
Jon Casey is different! I saw him drawing at an SFMOMA party, and couldn’t believe how masterfully he was capturing people’s personalities with such exaggerated skillfulness. He made even the most ordinary look extraordinary. Get in line now, because by the time you see him, it’ll be around the corner!”
- Nicole G.“Absolutely, hands down – a MUST HIRE. Jon was contacted to do a custom picture for our executive and an internal corporate event. He is professional, extremely artistic, and very responsive.
Jon will work with you until you are satisfied with the end product and bring his ideas and talents as an additive to the work. Our custom art work was amazing and truly indicative of what we had requested from him. He made changes as needed and worked with our ideas willingly and without hesitation.
If you need an “out of the box” event artist, Jon is your guy. I would absolutely recommend him over and over to all.
Thank you personally Jon for all that you have done for our executive and our employees!”
- Trang D.“I think the next time I have a party (and the budget allows) Jon Casey would be the added entertainment that EVERYONE would enjoy. I saw him lay down the law at the SFMOMA party. People were crowded around him catching glimpses of his caricatures and really enjoying him work his magic. Not only is he fast and fun to watch, but he does a really good job.
Like seriously accurate.”
- Natalie N.“We have hired Jon Casey and his team for our annual corporate networking event in San Francisco for the past three years, and year after year, they continue to be the hook that gets people to keep coming to our event! It is amazing to see the business executives of the area get so excited to have their faces drawn and their colleagues’ faces drawn, and Jon knows how to attract even the shy or stiff types to engage in the fun. I highly, highly recommend this team for your formal business gatherings as a way to break the ice for attendees.”
